Lesson discussion posts are optional. When responding to lesson prompts in the app, you may choose to post with your name, post anonymously, or keep your response private and not post at all.
The purpose of lesson discussions is to help learners practice what they are learning, see examples from others, and build confidence using Afaan Oromo in a respectful community. Posts are tied to language-learning prompts within a lesson series — not a general social network.
Please follow these guidelines
Be respectful and encouraging
Language learning involves mistakes. Do not mock, shame, bully, or target others for how they write, speak, or learn. Celebrate effort and help others feel safe to practice.
Keep posts related to learning
Posts should be connected to the lesson prompt, Afaan Oromo practice, culture, encouragement, or the learning experience.
Do not post harmful content
Do not post harassment, hate speech, threats, sexually explicit content, spam, illegal content, or content that attacks people based on identity, background, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, or other personal characteristics.
Protect privacy
Do not share private information about yourself or others, including phone numbers, addresses, financial information, private conversations, or anything you do not have permission to share.
Use anonymous posting responsibly
Anonymous posting is available to help learners feel comfortable practicing. It should not be used to insult, harass, threaten, or avoid accountability for harmful behavior.
Moderation
Dubbadhu may remove posts that violate these guidelines or harm the learning environment. Repeated or serious violations may limit a user’s ability to participate in discussions.
Reporting and blocking
If you see a post that violates these guidelines, tap ⋯ on the post and choose Report post. You can also tap Block to stop seeing that learner’s posts in lesson discussions.
